Desulphurisation
Hydrogen sulphide is formed during the anaerobic digestion of organic material containing sulphur. It’s presence significantly reduces the lifetime of pipework, instrumentation, analytical equipment, CHP, blowers, compressors or even the absorbent material from biogas upgrading processes.
H2S can be removed from biogas using various chemical, physical and biological processes. Selecting the best method depends on gas final use, it’s composition, variability and volume, H2S concentration and absolute quantity of H2S to be removed.

Automated air injection
The Awite AwiFlex series analyser provides Methane, H2S and Oxygen analysis as well as automated “real time” control of the desulphurisation process. This is achieved by controlling the Oxygen injection from dedicated blowers.
