The SH SulphPur® is an advanced biological desulphurisation system designed for highly efficient hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) removal in biogas, landfill gas and industrial gas applications.

Unlike conventional systems, SulphPur® operates with an extremely low oxygen requirement, making it particularly suitable for biomethane upgrading and gas-to-grid applications where oxygen content must be tightly controlled. The system consistently achieves outlet oxygen levels below 0.2–0.3% by volume, helping maintain gas quality and compliance with upgrading requirements.

Using a biological trickling filter process, the system converts hydrogen sulphide into elemental sulphur while maintaining low water and energy consumption. Compared to traditional desulphurisation systems, SulphPur® can reduce energy and water usage by up to 90%, while delivering stable, long-term performance.

Designed for reliability, the system incorporates a blockage-free design, ensuring continuous operation even under challenging process conditions. Allison Engineering supports the integration of SulphPur® systems as part of complete biogas treatment and upgrading solutions.
